The name PLANT represents our mission and values: Preparing Leaders through Agriculture, Nature, and Teaching.At PLANT Youth Foundation, we believe that learning to care for the earth teaches young people responsibility, patience, and community. Through hands-on gardening, we prepare students to become future leaders who understand the importance of sustainability, self-reliance, and nurturing the world around them.

we are
The PLANT Youth Foundation, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to connect with nature, learn sustainable gardening, and grow into confident, community-minded leaders. Founded by Jairel Brown, our nonprofit creates healing green spaces where youth can explore, learn, and thrive. Through hands-on programs and partnerships with local schools, we cultivate growth — both in the garden and in our community.
